Zukiswa Ncapayi is the Chief Director in the Industrial Development Division of the DTI responsible for managing, evaluating and developing the industrial policy inclusive of the annual industrial policy action plan (IPAP).
She has been working in the Industrial Policy environment for about 10 years. As part of her portfolio she has also been responsible for overseeing industrial policy capacity building programmes such as APORDE (African Programme on Rethinking Development Economies).
Ms Ncapayi is also responsible for the design and development of marine manufacturing interventions. She sits on various Committees and on the Board of MIASA (the Marine Industry Association of South Africa). She holds a Master’s Degree in International and Development Economics from the Australian National University (ANU). She is also a University of the Witwatersrand alumni, having obtained and Honours Degree from the institution.
