CEO of Southern African Shipyards Prasheen Maharaj, at just 42 years old has made colossal strides in his career earning the respect of his peers and industry leaders alike.
A firm believer in self-empowerment for the greater good of society Prasheen has holds a B.Com Degree; Management Advancement Diploma; Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management and his Master’s in Business Administration majoring in Finance – all from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
He is also the recipient of the Golden Key International Honours award (USA), which places him amongst the top 10% students SA.
He sits on the board of Ethekwini Maritime Cluster, an organisation that is driving the competitiveness, growth and transformation of the Maritime Industry in Durban, through a Public Private Partnership between industry and government. His passion for the maritime industry is driven by his relentless commitment to socio-economic transformation, sustainable job creation and skills development.
