Lisa Geswindt is responsible for Investment Promotions within the Aquaculture and Economic Development unit at the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Her current role is to drive investment promotions for the Operation Phakisa-related aquaculture projects and to maintain good public relations. The portfolio includes:
- The facilitation of projects marketing and promotion for the aquaculture sector
- Driving public relations for Operation Phakisa Aquaculture initiatives
- Facilitate large investment opportunities from strategic partners
Geswindt holds a BTECH degree in Public Relations Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Language and Communication Studies from the University of the Western Cape.
With nine years’ combined experience from the public and private sector, she has worked at all levels of government including municipal and provincial. She has expertise in strategic corporate communications for a JSE-listed company.
