Cyprian Marowa is General Manager Infrastructure Finance at Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA).
He has 16 years’ experience in Corporate and Investment banking and Project Finance Investments, and is a Chartered Banker (CBMBA - Bangor) member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Scotland (CIOBS).
His graduate and post graduate studies were in the fields of finance and investments, sciences and chemical engineering. Marowa has held several positions in deal origination and execution in infrastructure finance in the SADC and South African private sector and PPP markets.
He has worked at Commerzbank AG, HSBC plc and Standard Chartered banks in the sub-Saharan African Markets.
Marowa has a further eight years’ experience with utilities, mining and industrial MNCs. He worked in water and wastewater, solids liquids separation and energy process optimisation in sub-Saharan Africa.
He serves as a Methodologies and Accreditation Expert on the UNFCCC Climate change office Roaster of Experts (RoE).
Marowa is also a recent past member of the South African Special Economic Zones (SEZ) Fund Adjudication Committee.
