Charles Okujeni is an emeritus professor of geochemistry at the University of the Western Cape.
He obtained MSc and PhD degrees at the Technical University Berlin, Germany in 1976 and 1980 respectively. He has researched and lectured at various universities in Africa.
Dr Okujeni served as the departmental chairperson at the University of the Western Cape for over 10 years. He provided leadership for the initiation and sustained the growth of the Water Studies and Petroleum programs at the University of the Western Cape.
Furthermore, he served as the Association Exploration Geochemists (AAG) Regional Councillor for Africa between 1995 and 2010.
